New from 3M are the VHB Robust Performance (RP) acrylic foam tapes. These high strength tapes are designed for applications that do not require the higher strength and performance offered by the current 3M VHB tapes line-up.
The tapes permanently adhere one substrate to another while spreading the stress load across the entire length of the joint. Once materials are joined, a virtually indestructible ‘weld’ is created. These feature the inherent properties of the high-strength VHB bonding tape but at a lower price, and offer strength, conformability and versatility to provide a permanent and reliable bond and seal for glass, painted surfaces, metal, some plastics and sealed wood.
