Securely fixing studs and nuts

Dec 22, 2011 | Fasteners & adhesives

According to Arnold Umformtechnik, with the RIVTEX system studs and nuts are pressed into the ready-to-assemble sheet metal parts. Said to provide an alternative to welding, these address the requirements of steel and aluminium sheets less than 1mm thick.

Pressed firmly in, they cannot fall out. In addition, their large bonding area means they are stable against press-out forces and torque. They can be applied at the same time as the sheet steel is stamped and pressed.
