HRH The Duke of York has visited TMD Technologies to acknowledge the company’s contribution to UK manufacturing and exports, as part of his ongoing work to recognise the successes and achievements of British SMEs.
During the visit The Duke of York took part in a tour of the factory which culminated in the unveiling of a plaque to commemorate TMD’s shipment of its 1500th Power Amplifier Module (PAM) to the USA. This product has been supplied by TMD Technologies for many years for use in surveillance radars.
His Royal Highness said: “It is very important for me to keep in contact with manufacturing companies that are successful and exporting; and to help ensure that the country’s infrastructure encourages the development of young people with the necessary skills to support these companies.
“I am delighted to visit a manufacturing company which is successful, growing and bucking the trend. Congratulations to everyone at TMD.”
