The History of FightFest & Accu

Accu’s partnership with FightFest began three years ago, with the shared goal of transforming FightFest into Europe’s premier Featherweight Fighting Robot Championship.

This collaboration highlights Accu’s dedication to fostering innovation and supporting young engineers and students.

FightFest started as a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) initiative by Labman Automation, aiming to excite students about careers in robotics and engineering.

Today, FightFest has evolved into a major event where professional teams showcase their technical skills in thrilling battles. The future vision includes involving student teams in the competition, empowering them to develop their skills and ignite their passion for robotics.

“For FightFest 2024, we are focused on enhancing the in-person experience, creating a fun and engaging atmosphere while building on the incredible competition we’ve seen in previous years,” said Ed Hodges, Co-Founder of FightFest.
