The Eckold range of gas springs and accessories is expanding at a fast rate, and there are now 17 different series available in steel and stainless steel, with five million variants from the modular system. The company also supplies what it claims is the world’s smallest gas spring.

Products available include a Double stroke spring for heavy flaps with a large opening angle, which is characterised by a low starting and a high ultimate force. There is also a Telescopic gas spring for applications where a large stroke is needed but there is limited installation space. This consists of several cylinders built into each other.

Also available is a Locking gas spring which can be locked at any point along its complete stroke. The company’s Tension springs, meanwhile, work in the opposite way to gas springs and are available with or without damping, with locking and a pressure range from 20N to 5000N. An ever increasing range of dampers is also available.
