Bearings from NKE for electrical motors and generators

Apr 22, 2021 | Bearings, seals & gaskets

Standard bearing types commonly used in electrical motors are deep groove ball bearings, cylindrical roller bearings and angular contact ball bearings. The continued improvement of the bearings’ designs ensures an optimal performance in the application. Bearings for electric motors are required to operate with low noise, high reliability and high speed capabilities. To reduce the risk of electrical erosion, an efficient coating can also be required.

In order to improve reliability and increase service life, NKE offers special solutions to protect the bearings against the electrical erosion common in electrical machinery. Electrically insulated bearings, identified by the suffix SQ77, can replace, without any modification, standard bearings in the machine. Applied with plasma technology, the insulation has a guaranteed breakdown resistance of at least 1000V AC or DC.
NKE offers both standard and special bearings for all industrial applications. A wide range of standard bearings is available from stock or at short production lead-times. NKE also provides customized products and solutions. Engineering, product development, production and final processing of components, assembly, quality assurance, logistics, and sales and marketing are centralised at its Steyr headquarters. In addition to product development and application engineering, NKE provides a full range of technical services, consulting, documentation and training.
