The BMZ Group and VDE Renewables are signing a strategic partnership to promote a European network platform dealing with battery technology. The aim is to promote and strengthen international exchange within the industry.

The internationally well-established Battery Experts Forum – organised by the BMZ Group – will serve as a platform for jointly advancing the issues surrounding electrification in the future. VDE Renewables is a 100% subsidiary of the VDE technology association, which is concerned with issues relating to renewable energy generation and storage.

Burkhard Holder, managing director VDE Renewables, said: “We are pleased to have a strong partner in the BMZ Group, the organizer of an already very successful forum, with whom we can advance the core issues surrounding electrification even more clearly. It is extremely important for the industry, and especially for Germany as a strong business location, to promote a comprehensive exchange of information on these increasingly important topics and to form a close network. The event has the decisive advantage of bringing together all the leading companies along the value chain of a battery centrally on an international level. Such a broad target group field is of central importance for us in order to address all those involved in sustainability, energy generation and energy storage as well as electromobility.”

Part of the close partnership is also the further development of the diversified conference program – VDE wants to integrate new topics such as bankability, recycling and cyber security in energy storage systems into the program 2020.

Both the exhibition and the conference reflect the vision of the event – to create a central networking platform for the entire branch Christian Adamczyk, Spokesman and Chief Marketing Officer of the BMZ Group, points out: “Battery technology is becoming increasingly relevant for more companies and industries, regardless of whether you are part of the supply chain or an OEM launching new products on the market. Therefore it is essential to seek an open exchange in the form of such an branch event. The high number of registrations for the exhibition and the numerous applications for presentations confirm our intention. With VDE and its large network, we can focus and communicate the topic of renewable energies, electrification and battery-powered applications even more strongly.”
