The most recent company to recognise the benefits of membership is Hertford based, non-metallic material and component failure specialist, Polymeric Material Failure Consultants. Another company to appreciate the commercial opportunities afforded by membership is Megator.  Founded in 1946 by F.W. McCombie in order to develop and market his own invention, the sliding shoe positive displacement pump, the company quickly became established at home in the UK and through a network of agents, exporting too many countries around the world.

M.J.B Engineering Precisionhas also signed up to be a full member of the BPMA.  The business was set-up in 1987 as a sub-contract engineering company manufacturing precision parts for a wide range of clients within the engineering, packaging, printing & food processing industries.

Steve Schofield, director and chief executive of the BPMA said: “I am delighted to welcome each of these businesses into our association and provide them with all the support services at our disposal. Their respective skillsets and competencies interlink nicely with other members, and we look forward to a developing strong and mutually rewarding relationships with each of them over the coming months.”

He added, “To reach a complement of 98 members is really quite something, and testament to the work we undertake on behalf of our members and the wider pump industry, but I now very much look forward to announcing the fantastic milestone of 100 BPMA members before too long!”
