North West a UK “hotspot for 3D printing adoption”

Made Smarter and Manchester Metropolitan University’s PrintCity have positioned the North West as a UK hotspot for 3D printing adoption, according to new Government research. The study, published by the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology (DSIT), found the region has the highest 3D printing adoption rate (20%) in the UK outside London (30%).

Italian biking accessory brand, Fizik, and manufacturing technology company, Carbon, are celebrating success, having seen pro-cyclist Tadej Pogačar crowned overall winner of this year’s Tour de France, which wrapped in Paris on Sunday. Riding for the UAE Team Emirates‑XRG, Pogačar took top spot in the legendary three-week race on a custom-made 3D-printed saddle from Fizik’s award-winning One-to-One range.
