Compact and robust Gigabit Ethernet connectors, which support data rates of up to 10Gbps, have been added to Belden’s Lumberg Automation range.
These have a special shielding that also covers the individual wire pairs, guaranteeing reliable data transmission even where there are strong electromagnetic fields. They are available with M12 or RJ45 connection technology, and in moulded and self-assembly versions. Capable of operating over the 30° to +90°C temperature range and – for the M12 versions – with industrial protection class IP67, these are suitable for such applications as connecting IP cameras and infotainment systems in rail vehicles or wiring up complex machines and systems.
The moulded M12 connectors and the RJ45 versions have bodies made of thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), while the self-assembly connectors are of nickel-plated die-cast zinc or brass (flange version).
