Driving process improvement and innovation in order to enhance design and development, cutting costs, improving product quality, reducing time to market and championing Right First Time design are going to be the key issues at the forefront of the 2015 Romax European User Forum, taking place on the 29th and 30th September, at the Le Pavillon du Lac in Paris, France.
The two-day event will aim to provide attendees with practical advice and industry insight as to how organisations can enhance their optimisation processes, and in doing so improve their ability to deliver products faster, smarter and at a lower cost.
Opening the proceedings, Serge Lacaze, director in charge of coordinating Technical Policies Convergence, at Renault-Nissan will be delivering the plenary keynote presentation on ‘Automotive Engineers Regaining Leadership Role in the 3rd Industrial Revolution’. This will be followed by presentations from leading industry organisations including Volkswagen, Volvo Construction Equipment, , PSA Peugeot-Citroen, GKN Driveline, Cetim, ESG Rail, Fraunhofer IWU, Klingelnberg and Adrian Technologies over the two days.
The event will also include the launch of updates to Romax’s product portfolio RomaxDESIGNER, CONCEPT and CAD FUSION software, with new features and capabilities that are able deliver even more opportunities for optimisation in simulation, analysis, design and development. Other key themes will include:
· Noise, Vibration, Harshness (NVH) – new directions in balancing multiple requirements, and eliminating NVH issues as early in the design & development process as possible
· Engineering Processes – creating powerful methodologies and tools to support faster and more informed engineering decision-making
· Energy Efficiency – reducing losses in drivelines, and making more efficient use of power sources
