National Instruments has announced the shortlisted finalists in the 2014 Engineering Impact Awards, to honour the UK and Ireland’s most innovative engineering projects using NI software and hardware.

Biomedical
· Revolutionary Thermal Imaging Device for Noncontact Respiration Monitoring – Sheffield Hallam University

Electronics Test & Measurement
· Creating an Automated, Highly Accelerated Stress Screening Test Solution for Three Avionics PCBs in Parallel – TBG Solutions

Winners will be announced at the Engineering Impact Awards ceremony, held at The Royal Academy of Engineering, London, on Monday 3rd November. Several finalists will present their applications in technical sessions at the NIDays conference and exhibition, held at The Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre, Westminster, London, the following day.
