Launched by Hylec-APL and manufactured by its DE Controls division, is a new series of patented door enclosures to complement its growing range of electrical housings. These have IP65 protection, galvanised steel back plates and mounting brackets, and are constructed from flameproof material.
The registered design range of door enclosures also includes door locks as standard and meets protection and combustible standards IP65 and IK08. They have a wall thickness of between
3-3.5mm which provides protection from impact damage. These are also suitable for use in external environments, including locations where they will be exposed to salty sea air.
There are eight sizes available – 200 x 300 x 130mm to 500 x 700 x 250mm – and each comes as standard with a pre-assembled galvanised steel back plate, wall mounting brackets and one or two locks (depending on model), and a key for added security.
The enclosures are suitable for an operating temperature range of -20°C to 85°C. Options include a transparent polycarbonate door that allows for easy inspection of internal electronics in the field without compromising ingress protection; and Kwik-Fix cable gland with ‘snap-in’ single component mounting to create a quick and effective cable entry option.
