Industry 4.0 Summit & Expo, the event for digital technologies in manufacturing, has announced that Mark Chapman has joined the impressive speaker lineup at the event, which takes place 31 March – 1 April at the Manchester Central Convention Complex.

Chapman is chief engineer and engineering director for the Bloodhound Land Speed Record project, aiming to push the existing record to over 800mph using a combination of a jet engine from Eurofighter Typhoon and a mono propellant rocket system.

The aim of the project is to inspire a generation through a STEM engagement programme, but, beyond that, is unusual in actively seeking out emerging and disruptive technologies to showcase on a global scale, not only in design and manufacturing but throughout the fields of electrification, communications and the digital space.

Marketing director, Jane Lees, said: “We’re delighted that Mark is going to join us on 31 March. It’s an inspirational project which has required engineers to think in new ways and manufacturers to develop novel production and testing methods. We look forward to hearing how industry 4.0 has impacted the project.”

Registration is open for Industry 4.0 Summit & Expo 2020 & there’s an Early Bird ticket offer until 7th March. For more information, visit the conference website here.
