Aluminium profiles and accessories from mk Profile Systems have taken part in the Chelsea Flower Show.
Waterside Nursery of Leicestershire came up with a design for their 2012 entry which included a large L-shaped pond, and used mk’s aluminium 40 series profile range to make the pond structure.
The modular approach of the profiles meant the nursery was able to assemble the pond structure to meet the exacting requirements within the Chelsea Flower Show grounds.
Waterside’s exhibit went on to win a Gold Award for Aquatic Plants in the Floral Pavillion.
Darren Whiteside, managing director of mk Profile Systems, commented: “We are delighted for Waterside Nursery. This is not the first time that they have won Gold at Chelsea but never before have they used aluminium profile to build their pond structure. We’re pleased it worked so well for them.’
