The characteristics of linear motion systems built using R. A. Rodriguez’s IEF Werner linear motion product programme – such as rigidity, high accuracy and precision – are now available to those designing and specifying systems for use in explosive atmospheres.
As a result, individual components through to fully assembled single- and multi-axis positioning systems are now available for use in Zone 2 and Zone 22 environments. This qualifies them for use in applications where there is danger of explosion under abnormal operating conditions caused by gas (Zone 2) or a cloud of combustible dust (Zone 22).
The company takes elements from its standard IEF Werner product range and combines them with components such as planetary gears, servo motors and power chains that have appropriate certification.
