TDK Corporation (TSE 6762) is pleased to announce that TDK-Lambda UK has been named Tech Company of the Year at the prestigious Tech South West Awards 2019, held in the Mercure Exeter Rougemont Hotel on 27 November. The annual awards celebrate the region’s fastest growing sector by rewarding innovative technology companies across industries.
TDK-Lambda collected the Tech Company of the Year Award in the category for companies with a revenue of over £5 million per year, beating competition from fellow finalists Amdaris and Open Bionics. The company was commended for its commitment to developing its Ilfracombe facility. Following recent investment, the site now has a £1.2, EMC centre, which enables the company to carry out essential EMC testing in house, in order provide customers with an even more comprehensive service. The company has also recently invested in new equipment, including a state-of-the-art Yamaha 3D optical inspection system, to help further enhance product quality.
