The new SCHURTER 4763 Type F/J appliance outlet combines two plug types in one compact solution, enabling the flexible implementation of different current ratings in intelligent Power Distribution Units (PDUs).
Thanks to identical mounting dimensions to the Type J appliance outlet 4797-5, existing designs can be reused without any modifications. PCB mounting, optional status indication, support for V-Lock, P-Lock and TwyLock, as well as TÜV-compliant design make the 4763 a reliable solution for data centers, IT and industrial applications.
A flexible solution
With the new 4763 Type F/J appliance outlet, SCHURTER offers a flexible solution for modern power distribution systems, particularly for use in data centers. By combining Type F and Type J in a single appliance outlet, different current ratings can be supported with one product. This simplifies the development of intelligent Power Distribution Units (PDUs) while reducing the number of required variants.
A key advantage is its full mechanical compatibility with existing Type J outlets such as the SCHURTER 4797–5. Identical cut–out dimensions allow existing designs to be reused without modifications to front panels or PCB layouts, reducing development effort and simplifying retrofits.
Design Flexibility
For optimum adaptation to different device concepts, the 4763 is available with optional light guides for status indication. Various versions are offered to accommodate different panel thicknesses, providing additional design flexibility. The appliance outlet is designed for PCB mounting, operates reliably over a temperature range of –25 °C to +70 °C, and complies with the relevant TÜV requirements.
Cord Retention
The 4763 supports proven cable retention systems such as V–Lock, P–Lock and TwyLock. These solutions reliably prevent accidental disconnection of the power cord, providing an important safety advantage for applications with high availability requirements.
