In modern electronic applications – especially in safety-critical areas such as ATEX-certified environments – the requirements for miniaturisation, precision, and thermal reliability are constantly increasing. The new USL 0603 low-current fuse from SCHURTER has been specifically developed to meet these requirements.

SCHURTER USL 0603 Chip Fuse – Fast Acting and Reliable Performance
The USL 0603 features an extended creepage distance of 1.1 mm (pad-to-pad), meeting the requirements of IEC 60079-11 for 60 VDC applications with a minimum 1 mm creepage. This makes it one of the few fuses in the 0603 footprint suitable for ATEX-certified applications in industries such as oil & gas, chemical processing or mining.
With its fast-acting characteristic (trips at 2.5× rated current in under 5 s), the USL 0603 reliably protects sensitive circuits. Its low voltage drop minimizes energy loss, making it ideal for battery-powered devices as well.
The extended operating temperature range up to 150 °C allows use in thermally demanding environments, from mobile medical devices to industrial sensor applications.
Typical applications include ATEX systems, medical devices requiring precise trip performance, and industrial or electronic sensor applications sensitive to overcurrent.
