Laidler Associates is to rebrand as TÜV SÜD Product Service and, to mark this, the TÜV SÜD team will be taking the issue of machinery safety on the road in September.
The Health & Safety Executive Register of Convictions show that 62% of breaches under the Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER) have been committed under Regulation 11 – Dangerous Parts of Machinery. The series of roadshow events, which will take place across the UK, will therefore highlight the key safety issues for machine users, review the latest products and suggest practical solutions.
Jean-Louis Evans, managing director of TÜV SÜD Product Service, said: “Since our acquisition of Laidler two years ago, the synergies we anticipated between our two organisations have paid off. We have established a much stronger machinery safety business.
“For our current customers there is no material change in the machinery safety services with which they are familiar. The team will continue to deliver cost effective and practical safety services upon which our reputation is built, but supported by a wider network of product safety experts and a wealth of experience.”
