Answers for Industry, a joint conference and exhibition designed to showcase how the UK manufacturing sector can tackle topical and challenging questions, will be hosted by Siemens between July 4th and 5th at Manchester’s Central Convention Complex.

Visitors to the event, which is free to attend, will be afforded the opportunity to hear high profile speakers cover subjects including smarter investment to tackle skills shortages and energy concerns, health and safety, the role of renewable technologies, enabling cyber security strategies, sourcing green finance, improving operational efficiencies, driving up manufacturing excellence, enhancing factory productivity and increasing production agility.

Representatives from companies such as Rolls Royce, Red Bull Formula One Racing and Siemens will be present and key exhibits will include high efficiency drives that can deliver 70% energy savings and water filtration solutions capable of significantly reducing water usage and effluent production. In addition, the latest functional safety, process automation and condition monitoring technologies will be featured.

Juergen Maier, UK managing director commented: “A key challenge we face in the UK is that we under-perform on investment, in technology and manufacturing plants in comparison with other industrial nations, for example the investment level is 35% lower in the UK than in Germany. This conference explores the opportunities to address this challenge whilst offering manufacturing the requisite profile and support that it deserves.”
