At Southern Manufacturing & Electronics, taking place from 3-5 February at Farnborough International Exhibition Centre, exhibitors will be unveiling new technologies, sustainable materials and advanced digital capabilities…

Southern Manufacturing & Electronics has long been a showcase for breakthrough materials, advanced production technologies and next-generation digital tools shaping the future of industry. This year’s exhibitor line-up reflects that spirit of progress, offering visitors an opportunity to discover the latest solutions driving productivity, sustainability and competitiveness across the sector.

First-time exhibitor MPE Electronics will introduce visitors to its high-reliability contract electronics manufacturing services, spanning PCB assembly and full box build for industrial and commercial sectors. The company will demonstrate how a dependable CEM partner can reduce procurement pressures and strengthen supply chain resilience, supporting customers from prototyping through to volume production.

Newbury Electronics will be showcasing its comprehensive end-to-end electronics manufacturing capability, which spans electronic product design, PCB layout, fabrication, assembly, testing and certification. With services ranging from one-day turnaround of PCBs to conformal coating, laser-cut solder paste stencils and advanced EMC and environmental testing, the company will demonstrate how it supports industries ranging from aerospace and defence to medical, photonics and autosport.

Digital transformation also features prominently at this year’s event, with Tecman showcasing how Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central can unify manufacturing and distribution data within a single ERP platform. In addition, Thame Workholding will showcase its Samchully JBM/JBH Jaw Boring Open Centre Hydraulic Chuck, said to be the world’s first power chuck with a built-in boring ring. This is one of several innovations highlighted in Southern Manufacturing & Electronics’ Innovations Gallery.

The gallery also features Silclear’s re-Sil, a recycled silicone material developed to support more sustainable component production. In addition, the gallery will showcase one of the latest AI innovations impacting the manufacturing sector: Blue, an industrial AI for inspection, anomaly detection and quality control, can be witnessed on the Matta Labs stand.

Visitors to China Outsourcing’s stand, meanwhile, will be able to find out why the company is rebranding to Global Outsourcing.
