With its 1st Global Infrared Sessions, LASER COMPONENTS has successfully established the new virtual event format LC Talks. About 450 participants from all continents (except Antarctica) attended the two-day event and caught up on the latest developments in IR technology in more than 20 short presentations.

“We have adapted the experiences gained from previous IR WORKshops to the current circumstances,” explains Joe Kunsch, head of the IR Components department at LASER COMPONENTS and initiator of the series. “At the moment, we see a new quality in IR technologies and applications. Internally, we have been referring to it as a milestone, which we are giving the appropriate global forum. Although the first live event is over, those who were unable to attend, for example because we did not start in Tokyo until 10:00 p.m. local time, can still register and watch the recording afterwards.”

“An online event of this scale, of course, requires extensive planning,” says Michaela Böhme, who was responsible for the organisational side of things. “However, it was worth it and we are sure that we have created a successful event series.”

The 2nd Global Infrared Sessions is already scheduled to take place on January 19 and 20, 2021. As part of the LC Talks series, LASER COMPONENTS is also planning similar virtual events for other product areas.
