A technical webinar on Worm Gear Screw Jacks is to take place on August 21st, presented by Thomson Product Line Specialist, Tobias Münch. The webinar will provide practical advice on how to correctly size and specify screw jacks suitable for powerful lifting, tilting and positioning applications in the toughest environments.

Thomson’s precision-engineered MULI and JUMBO jacks provide powerful industrial positioning up to 500kN, and are engineered to withstand high compressive and tensile loads for precise and durable lifting, lowering, tilting and feed movement.  So, the webinar will explore how the company’s worm screw jacks can optimise cost, performance and reliability through customer applications, eg. adjustment of paper rolls and conveyors, tilting and positioning of assembly platforms and material pressing.

In the Webinar Münch will share a step-by-step process for selecting the correct component and explain how to calculate system parameters such as the required drive torque and critical buckling force.

The first Webinar will be in German at 11am CEST August 21st, and the second in English at 4pm CEST August 21st.
