Trio Motion Technology, the motion-first automation solutions provider, has appointed a new Sales Manager for the UK & Ireland. Trio has recruited experienced motion control specialist Neil Moss to manage the company’s UK & Ireland business. Neil will support OEM machine builders, system integrators, and distributors across Trio’s range of machine, motion, and robotics control solutions.

With a 30-year career in motion control, Neil joins Trio following recent national and sales roles at automation & control distributors. Formerly, Neil was also Baldor’s Business Development Manager for Europe, and Export Sales Manager at ABB’s motion division. As Business Development Manager at Iconsys for six years, Neil focussed on robotics integration.
Neil combines business development and distributor experience with practical knowledge of motion control and automation. Following studies in engineering, Neil began his career as a Service Engineer at Indramat, a division of Bosch Rexroth, and followed that up with six years as an Application Engineer at Baldor, supporting OEM machinery.
Trio has recently launched a host of new motion control innovations and Neil will support the roll out across the domestic markets. Trio’s latest developments include Motion-PLC, a new class of machine controller that combines motion, robotics, and logic with the functionality and simplicity of a PLC, as well as the 128-axis motion controller, Flex-7.
Neil will work directly with OEM machine builders in sectors including packaging, paper & print, life science, and 2.5D CNC, as well as robotics integration. Trio’s new UK & Ireland Sales Manager will also support system integrators as well as Trio’s network of distribution partners.
“Trio is an impressive name in motion control, especially within the UK market with its R&D roots going back to 1987, and it’s a company I’ve been familiar with since I began my career, so I’m very pleased to join the organisation,” says Neil Moss. “My career in motion control has covered application engineering, service and commissioning, working for manufacturers, machine builders, system integrators and distributors. I’m bringing this wealth of experience to support and grow the Trio customer network in motion-first machine automation.”
“The UK & Ireland markets are very important for Trio, alongside our global operations, and Neil has the experience and capabilities to help drive us forward,” says Tom Alexander, President, Trio Motion Technology. “It’s an exciting time for Trio and the machine builders we partner with as we roll out a host of innovations in motion-first machine automation, so it’s a great time for Neil to be involved and support our UK & Ireland customers.”
