Energy chain specialist igus has filmed a demonstration video showing how to assemble e-spool – the versatile alternative to cable reeling drums.
Designed to offer flexible secure cable and hose supply on moving applications, e-spool is ideal for stage and theatre, crane, and other material handling applications. Numerous cables can be guided by one roller at the exact length and retraction tension required. The twisterband, which acts as the interface to the rotating drum, enables rotary movement without using a slip ring, and therefore a continuous end to end connection.
e-spool is compatible with igus installation tools, making building and dismantling a simple procedure, and can be supplied with chainflex cables as a complete ready to install solution.
