HARTING has been established in the UK for 40 years and is a leading supplier of industrial connectivity technology for the delivery of data, signals, and power, including solutions for fast Ethernet and industrial cabling.

Visit us on Stand B60 at Drives & Controls to learn more about our cutting-edge solutions, including our new Han-ModularĀ® Pneumatic Metal modules, which allow at least 10,000 mating cycles and can withstand a constant pressure of 10 bar. They are ideal for flexible production methods and powering drives, controls, brakes, holding and unloading devices.

The large Han-ModularĀ® range allows you to produce a bespoke connector by combining individual modules for different transmission media, including pneumatics, data, signal, and power modules in a single connector . You can also use the online HanĀ® Configurator tool to design interfaces for specific applications.

Other solutions in the HanĀ® range include Han-EcoĀ®, a new series of hoods and housings manufactured from high-performance plastic, which complies with standards IEC 61948 and EN 45545-2, and offers IP65 protection and substantial weight savings compared to traditional metal housings.

A big advantage of using Han-EcoĀ® in control panels is the time-savings that can be achieved, thanks mainly to the ability to rear mount inserts. There is no longer any need to install cables through the bulkhead mounted housing before assembling the contact inserts; instead, pre-assembled inserts are directly snapped into the housing from the rear, simplifying cabinet assembly.

With the HanĀ® 1A, HARTING has recognised and responded to the trend in industrial sectors towards miniaturisation, which requires smaller interfaces for use in robotics and engineering equipment.

It employs a modular system of inserts, which makes it extremely versatile as it can integrate contacts for the delivery of data, signals, and power. It can transmit a maximum of 16 amps and 400 volts whilst modules for Cat. 5 or Cat. 6A are available for data transmission. Up to 12 D-Sub contacts can be constructed for signal interfaces with a shielded version employed in areas which are particularly susceptible to interference.

Whatā€™s more, as the entire HanĀ® 1A connector system is based on just a few components, material supply is greatly simplified as a plug-in connection consists of a maximum of twelve different contacts. This gives you the flexibility to easily create simple and efficient interfaces for applications in mechanical engineering, automation, robotics, transportation, traffic engineering and the energy sector.

Specially designed for the requirements of the food processing, bottling, and packaging industries, the HanĀ® F+B is IP69K rated, so the connections are fully protected and resistant to the water jets used to clean equipment.

The range is Ecolab approved, which means it is resistant to the highly aggressive cleaning agents used in the food and splash zones. As the housings are constructed from polypropylene, they conform to the directives of FDA 21. All surfaces also have a smooth finish, which prevents impurities and bacteria from accumulating, whilst the portfolio can function in a wide temperature range from -40 to +125Ā° C.

As well as hygiene and safety concerns, HARTING have also considered the impact of machine downtimes, designing in features which keep disruptions on the production line down to a minimum.

With the HanĀ® F+B, operators do not need to open any cable glands on the control cabinet in order to decouple field devices, eliminating the complex disconnecting and reconfiguring of fixed wiring. This solution also allows for faster replacement of defective components and a more efficient configuration when changing components, allowing businesses in the food industry to shorten set-up times and reduce production stoppages.

In addition to our standard product range, HARTING Customised Solutions (HCS), based at our Northampton production facility, allows you to develop components tailored to your individual requirements. We can design, test, and produce a wide range of bespoke products such as cables, hoods, housings, and connectors.

HARTING have also embraced the trend of miniaturisation, manufacturing board-to-board and wire-to-board connectivity, including the T1 Industrial for the delivery of Single Pair Ethernet (SPE) and the har-modularĀ® PCB connector system, which allows you to create a bespoke design using an online configurator.
