Finite element analysis has resulted in the profile of Huco Dynatork’s Dura-Flex elastomeric coupling providing an optimum material to strength ratio. According to the company, this accommodates significant misalignment and minimises torsional vibration whilst maintaining its torque capacity.
Furthermore, the Dura-Flex split-in-half element design allows for easy element installation and replacement. These also have a urethane bond to the leading edge of the steel shoe that is bolted to the coupling’s hub, minimising bond stress and extending service life.
