New from Cyntech Components is a family of 60W power supplies with full medical safety approvals. Compact in size, these are typically up to 90% efficient and have no-load power consumption of less than 0.5W. Power ratings are based on free air convection for operation at up to 50°C ambient, eliminating the need for cooling fans.
These have a universal AC input (90 – 264 Vac) and come in a choice of single outputs at 5, 12, 15, 24 or 48 Vdc. All models feature overvoltage and short circuit protection, and leakage current is less than 0.1mA, as required for IEC60601-1 and EN60601-1 safety approvals.
