Following three years in which it has grown and evolved to meet visitor and exhibitor requirements, the Sensing Technology exhibition has been enhanced once more – and is now being re-launched as the Sensors & Instrumentation show.

The exhibition was originally developed in response to demand – unlike in Europe, there was not an event dedicated solely to sensors and sensing technology in the UK. The first one took place in September 2010 and proved a great success, with a broad range of sensing company displaying their latest products. Visitors, however, wanted more, so each year the exhibition has been further developed, resulting in the 2013 event covering sensors, test, measurement and control instrumentation.

Exhibitors this year will include: National Instruments, Michell Instruments, Micro-Epsilon, ESI Technology, Binder UK, Optris, PCB Piezotronics, Huba Control, Impress Sensors & Systems, Vishay Precision Group, GE Measurement & Control, Bronkhorst, igus, Rose Plastics, plus many more.

Not only will visitors be able to see the latest products, hear about new technologies, discuss their applications and see product demonstrations, but there will be a comprehensive seminar programme covering a variety of interesting topics. Last year, for example, seminars were held by experienced speakers from such companies as Burkert and National Instruments.

Sensors & Instrumentation 2013 will be co-located with Micro, Nano and MEMS, as well as Datateam and Trident’s new exhibition – The Machine Building show.

Machine Building is a dedicated exhibition expected to cover everything for the machine builder and systems integrator, including hydraulics and pneumatics, safety, motors and drives, sensors and control equipment, panel building solutions, fastening & joining, industrial robots, and information on legislation, regulations and standards.

All the above events will be taking place on 25-26th September 2013, at the same time as the Mediplas and TCT Live events in the NEC, Birmingham – add them to your diary now!
