Replacing the Sigma-2 series, the Yaskawa Sigma-5 is a servo pack consisting of servo motors, servo amplifiers and a set-up tool.
This new series offers rotary, direct drive and linear motors, with the rotary servo motor range available in several performance categories from 0.1 to 15kW.
Benefits including positioning accuracy of up to 10nm, high machine speed, vibration-free motion and smooth running at low speed, make the solution suitable for machines in the fields of electronics, semiconductors, packaging, printing and machine tools, as well as in the injection moulding and metal forming industries, states the company.
