Tribo-polymer specialist Igus has introduced the dry-tech box, a sample kit designed to help engineers find the right bearing material for their application. The box contains a set of card overlays, which filter the bearing choices by criteria, similar to the Igus online configurator.
The dry-tech sample box includes a complete array of iglidur bearing materials, suitable for a variety of applications. The box includes the iglidur H, which is ideal for use in corrosive environments, as well as the blue coloured FDA Approved iglidur A350, which can withstand temperatures of up to 180°C and is used within the food industry. The box also contains a user-friendly bearing guide that highlights the key properties of each bearing material helping to make the search for the correct bearing a little easier.
All Igus bearings are designed to run completely dry, making them lubrication-free. Iglidur bearings are all fully lab tested in the areas of durability, friction, and stability, and are at the core of Igus’ plastics development.
