Now available from Revolvo is the SNQ (SN-Quick) bearing which, in constricted spaces, can reduce the fitting time compared to standard bearings by up to 90%.

The bearing has a 45° split design that overcomes the problems of lifting shafts or jacking gearboxes to accommodate the bearings. It is a development of the company’s standard SN series of split plummer blocks, which provides full dimensional interchangeability with conventional solid plummer blocks.

Replacing a typical trapped bearing mounted in a cast iron plummer block can take anything from several hours to several days, while replacement of SNQ bearing units can take as little as one hour.

Additional benefits of the SNQ split roller bearings included: statically self-aligning, improved reliability, they perform reliably in environments up to 140°C, etc.
